Neurofeedback Assessment
Neurofeedback Assessment is a type of evidence-based biofeedback assessment that gathers data gleaned from brain activity measurements (EEG). Therapists leverage this data to devise a treatment plan for neurological issues like addiction, anxiety, and PTSD, among other conditions.
Addiction is a disease that can take over the brain. In fact, the word “addiction” comes from the Latin term for “bound to,” which accurately describes the way this disease exerts influence over those struggling to overcome it. Substance abuse alters the brain’s structure and functions, making it very difficult to break free from the disease’s grip. Through a greater understanding of the neurobiology of the brain, therapist can identify individualized treatment plan goals and objectives.
