A dedicated program helping First Responders

After the Call is a dedicated trauma program helping first responders heal, recover, and thrive after the challenges of their service.

First responders face unique challenges, often putting their mental health on the line to protect others. After the Call is a specialized program tailored to support the heroes who serve our communities, helping them recover from PTSD, trauma, and related struggles while building resilience and long-term well-being.

This program offers 45 to 90 days of comprehensive care, including detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient therapy. Each step of care is designed to meet the unique needs of first responders, addressing both substance use and mental health challenges.

  • Trauma-Focused Care: Tailored therapy for first responders.
  • Specialized Groups: First responder-only sessions and general therapy for holistic growth.
  • Peer Support: Connect with others who have shared similar experiences.
  • Individual Therapy: One-on-one sessions to address personal trauma.
  • Family Support: Weekly family therapy, Zoom sessions, and on-site family groups.
  • Holistic Healing: Relaxation tools like bio beds, sound baths, massage, and acupuncture.
  • Evidence-Based Practices: EMDR, CBT, trauma-focused therapy, and more.
  • 24/7 Clinical Support: Round-the-clock care and case management services.

Who We Help

Our program is designed for traditional first responders, including:

  • Police Officers: Sheriffs, deputies, and law enforcement personnel.
  • Firefighters: Both career and volunteer firefighters.
  • Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs): Including paramedics and ambulance personnel.
  • Veterans: Former military service members, including those who served in any branch of the armed forces.

Why This Program?

First responders are disproportionately affected by PTSD and trauma:

  • Over 80% have experienced traumatic events on the job.
  • 10%-15% are diagnosed with PTSD, with EMTs facing the highest rates. % develop behavioral health conditions like depression and PTSD.
  • 37% of fire and EMS professionals have contemplated suicide, nearly 10 times the rate of the general population.

Why General Programs Fall Short:

First responders require specialized care that understands their unique experiences, stressors, and trauma. Generic programs often fail to address their needs effectively.
